Hand carved Ebisu.  Ebisu is one of the Seven Lucky Gods (shichifukujin), often depicted with Daikoku in carvings or paintings, as they are considered symbols of prosperity and good fortune. Ebisu is the god of fishermen and fortune, and the only one of the seven lucky gods to originate from Japan without any Chinese or Hindu influence.
