Very good Cho bako funa dansu - Merchant box style sea chest for the captain or ship's owner.    Bottom left side contains a Keyaki wood lock box.   Center bottom is a water tight kiri box.   Bottom right are two small kiri wood lined drawers.    Top right is a removable stacking Keyaki wood writing box. Chest is in original patina.  Beautifully figured keyaki wood faces, keyaki wood case and hand forged iron hardware and strapping.  An exceptional piece.
