Statement

Many people think of ceramics as utilitarian, as bowls, plates and such, but the history of utility is only some thousands years old. In microcosm, ceramics is the same substance used for higher artistic expression just like other arts.

What can we leave for the next generation as we have lost a common language to communicate the arts and humanities? May I be the one who expresses the sophistication of our society and humanity through a difficult medium: ceramics?

Instead of evolution, I challenge myself to grow outward, not simply forward in my lifetime.
